Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Welcome to Cait & Cora. These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you visit caitandcora.com or purchase products from us.

By placing an order with Cait & Cora, you agree to these Terms of Service. Nothing within these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. About Us

Cait & Cora is an independent UK online retailer specialising in bags and accessories.

Throughout these terms, “Cait & Cora”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cait & Cora. “You” and “your” refer to visitors to our website and customers purchasing from us.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

2. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful personal shopping purposes.

You must not misuse our website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, or use our content for unlawful purposes.

We reserve the right to restrict access to our website where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

3. Products

We aim to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings and lighting.

Where products are made from fabric or other materials that may naturally vary, there may also be small differences between individual items. These variations do not necessarily constitute a fault.

Product measurements are provided as accurately as reasonably possible, but minor variations may occur.

4. Prices

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

The price shown at checkout is the price you will be charged, together with any applicable delivery costs.

We may change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted by us.

If we discover an obvious pricing error after you place an order, we will contact you before fulfilling the order and give you the option to purchase the product at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

5. Orders

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products from Cait & Cora.

You will receive an order confirmation using the contact details provided during checkout.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • an item is unexpectedly unavailable;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or product information error;

  • payment has not been successfully authorised;

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or

  • we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled item or order.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Payment services may be provided by third-party payment providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to the relevant provider's terms and conditions.

We do not guarantee that every payment method will be available for every order.

7. Delivery

Available delivery methods, estimated delivery times and delivery charges will be displayed on our website or during checkout.

Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will work with you to resolve the issue and your statutory rights will continue to apply.

It is your responsibility to provide an accurate and complete delivery address when placing your order.

If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, we may ask you to pay reasonable additional postage costs before the order is resent.

8. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

We want you to be happy with your Cait & Cora purchase.

When purchasing online, you may have a legal right to change your mind and cancel your purchase under UK consumer law.

For most eligible goods, you have 14 days from the date you receive your order to tell us that you wish to cancel. Once you have notified us, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Unless the item is faulty, incorrect or otherwise required by law, you may be responsible for the cost of returning it.

Returned items should be handled only as much as would reasonably be permitted when examining an item in a shop. We may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from a refund if the value of an item has been reduced as a result of unnecessary handling.

Where required by law, we will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge. If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional amount above our standard delivery charge.

Please see our separate Refund/Returns Policy for instructions on how to make a return.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.

Products must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.

If you believe you have received an item that is faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and information about the problem.

Where appropriate, we will arrange a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your rights under UK consumer law.

10. Promotions and Discount Codes

From time to time, Cait & Cora may offer discount codes, promotional prices, giveaways or other special offers.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • only one discount code may be used per order;

  • codes must be entered at checkout to apply;

  • promotions may have an expiry date or eligibility requirements; and

  • we may withdraw or amend a promotion where reasonably necessary.

This does not affect orders that have already been validly placed using a promotion.

11. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding an item to your basket does not reserve that item.

Occasionally an item may become unavailable after an order has been placed. If this happens, we will contact you and refund any amount paid for the unavailable item if we cannot fulfil your order.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on the Cait & Cora website — including our branding, logos, product photographs, graphics, written content and original designs — belongs to Cait & Cora or is used by us with permission.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our content without our prior permission.

You may share links to our website and our publicly available social media content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

13. Reviews and User Content

If you submit a product review, photograph or other content to Cait & Cora, you confirm that the content is your own or that you have permission to provide it.

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and must not contain unlawful, abusive, misleading or inappropriate material.

We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary, but we will not selectively suppress genuine negative reviews simply because they are unfavourable.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment, delivery, review and social media services.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control. You should review their own terms and privacy policies where appropriate.

15. Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law.

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into or for business losses arising from products purchased primarily for personal use, except where the law provides otherwise.

16. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and keep you informed where appropriate.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

17. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Information about how we collect, use and protect personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Our website may also use cookies and similar technologies. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy and/or Cookie Policy and through the cookie preferences available on our website.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service occasionally, for example to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

The terms applying to your purchase will generally be those in force when you placed your order.

The latest version will be available on our website together with the date it was last updated.

19. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.

If you are a consumer, you will retain any mandatory legal protections available to you and nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict your right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.

21. Contact Us
